Acting for Climate Change

We take action to address climate change and support the transition towards a more resilient and environmentally responsible future. Our approach focuses on three key areas, emissions reduction and value chain decarbonisation, climate change mitigation and adaptation, and pollution prevention.

Our approach and targets

Emissions Reduction and Decarbonisation

We aim to reduce carbon emissions across our value chain. In this context, we have developed a Decarbonisation Strategy toward 2030, which includes science-based targets validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) and aligned with the Paris Agreement’s goal of limiting global warming to 1.5°C.

Climate Change Adaptation

We adapt to climate change by strengthening the resilience of our assets and operations to climate-related risks.

Pollution Prevention

We implement practices to prevent and reduce pollution, aiming to protect the environment and minimise the impacts of our activities.

Decarbonisation Strategy 2030

Targets & Action Plan

The Strategy’s targets cover operational greenhouse gas emissions from buildings, embodied emissions and corporate emissions, with 2030 as the target year and 2022 as the base year.

  • 69% reduction in Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions per sq. m. from the operation of owned and leased buildings, including downstream leased assets.
  • 46% reduction in all other Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions.
  • 52% reduction in all other Scope 3 GHG emissions per sq. m.

Increase to 100% the annual active sourcing of renewable electricity, from 13.1%.
