We aim to reduce carbon emissions, adapt to climate change, and prevent air pollution. We have developed a Decarbonisation Strategy for 2030 with science-based targets validated by SBTi.

Sustainability oversight and management

Guided by transparency, integrity and accountability, we apply corporate governance practices that support long-term value creation. We also monitor sustainability developments, proactively manage related risks and leverage emerging opportunities. To this end, we have established a governance framework with clearly defined roles and responsibilities.

The Board of Directors has the overall oversight of sustainability matters and approves the corporate purpose, the Group’s mission, the Sustainability Strategy, and the related policies and targets. The Sustainability Committee assists the Board of Directors in strengthening and overseeing the Company’s and the Group’s long-term commitment to achieving their strategic sustainability objectives. The Sustainability Department, in collaboration with the relevant Divisions, develops and monitors the Sustainability Strategy and coordinates the management of the Group’s impacts on the economy, society and the environment.

LAMDA Development since 2024 is a member of the UN Global Compact - and the UN Global Compact Network Greece - the largest global Sustainable Development initiative, with more than 23,000 members in more than 160 countries and 69 Local Networks.

By actively participating, LAMDA Development supports and aligns its strategies and activities with the 10 Universal Principles of the Compact on Human Rights, Labour, the Environment and Anti-Corruption.

Letter of Commitment

Human rights

Principle 1: We support and respect the protection of internationally proclaimed human rights; and
Principle 2: make sure that we are not complicit in human rights abuses.

Labour

Principle 3: We uphold the freedom of association and the effective recognition of the right to collective bargaining;
Principle 4: the elimination of all forms of forced and compulsory labour;
Principle 5: the effective abolition of child labour; and
Principle 6: the elimination of discrimination in respect of employment and occupation.

Environment

Principle 7: We support a precautionary approach to environmental challenges;
Principle 8: undertake initiatives to promote greater environmental responsibility; and
Principle 9: encourage the development and diffusion of environmentally friendly technologies.

Anti-corruption

Principle 10: We work against corruption in all its forms, including extortion and bribery.
